Meysan advised Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) on Project Peregrine, a US$16 billion infrastructure transaction involving a consortium led by Blackstone, Brookfield and KKR. The deal marks the largest foreign direct investment in Kuwait's history.
Under the transaction, a new Kuwaiti joint venture will manage the commercial rights to the country's domestic and export crude oil pipeline network, while KOC retains a 51% ownership interest and continues to own, operate and maintain the assets. The transaction is expected to deliver US$7.85 billion in upfront proceeds to support KPC's strategic investment programme, including its objective of increasing production capacity to 4 million barrels per day by 2035.
The Meysan team was led by partner Dr. Abdulwahab Sadeq, alongside partner Mohamed Badr and senior associate Adel Al Asousi.
