Methodology
How the rankings work, and why you can trust them.
How the Rankings Work
- Independent Research — THE LAW's editorial research team conducts research across each jurisdiction and practice area on a defined annual cycle.
- Client Feedback — Interviews with clients assess responsiveness, commercial awareness, and quality of advice.
- Peer Review — Lawyers and firms are assessed against the view of competitors and market peers, not self-submitted claims.
- Market Analysis — Deal and case data, market share, and notable matters inform each ranking alongside qualitative research.
Firms and individuals cannot pay for a ranking or placement. Editorial independence is maintained between THE LAW's commercial and research teams.
