Latham & Watkins LLP is expanding its transactional capabilities in Asia with the appointment of Grace Huang and Edward Freeman as partners in its Hong Kong office.
Huang will join the firm's Capital Markets Practice, while Freeman will join the M&A and Private Equity Practice. Both join from Freshfields and are recognized as leading practitioners in their respective fields.
Huang advises on complex capital markets transactions, including dual and triple primary listings, secondary listings, SPAC listings, and overseas company listings. She also serves on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange's Listing Review Committee and the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission's Takeovers and Mergers Panel and Appeal Committee.
Freeman is known for his work on public M&A and complex cross-border transactions, including takeovers, privatizations and contested transactions. His practice also covers acquisitions, disposals, investments, joint ventures and strategic advisory matters for companies, private capital investors, financial intermediaries and insurers across the Asia-Pacific region.
The appointments mark a significant step in the continued expansion of Latham & Watkins' transactional platform in Asia.
